In the permanent exhibition, various historical tools used in the film industry can be seen.<\/p><p>The museum was born from its creator&#8217;s passion for cinema, who, since the 1960s, collected different amateur cinema devices, until it became <strong>one of the most important thematic collections on an international scale<\/strong>; acquired by the Girona City Council in 1994.<\/p><p>More than 15,000 documents recount the events that have occurred over five centuries of images, from Chinese shadows to the camera of the famous Lumi\u00e8re brothers, through a journey through the history of moving images.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_29179\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-29179\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-29179 size-full\" title=\"Museu del cinema\" src=\"http:\/\/staging.catalunyaturisme.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/museu-cinema2.jpg\" alt=\"Museu del cinema\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" srcset=\"https:\/\/staging.catalunyaturisme.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/museu-cinema2.jpg 700w, https:\/\/staging.catalunyaturisme.cat\/wp-content\/uploads\/museu-cinema2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-29179\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Museu del cinema<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>Among the wide range of artifacts, the highlights are magic lanterns, mirrors, anamorphoses, Lumi\u00e8re cinematographs, cameras and projectors, as well as a collection of posters and photographs.<\/p><p>The museum hosts various <strong>temporary exhibitions<\/strong> on cinema-related topics, as well as occasional film screenings.<\/p><p>Visitors have access to spaces, educational resources, and a team of educators. Additionally, there is also an <strong>educational activities program<\/strong> and a consultation and learning center on the history of visual shows.<\/p><p>It is open to the public <strong>from September to June<\/strong>, Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm. During <strong>July and August<\/strong> it is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm, and Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.
