It is one of the few places along the Costa Brava that still maintains its original charm.<\/p><p>This former fishing village is known for its narrow streets and white houses with shutters in shades of green and blue. It is perfectly integrated into the wild landscape, typical of this area of the Catalan coast; surrounded by pine trees and rocks.<\/p><h2>What to See<\/h2><p>Once you arrive in the town, we recommend walking to the <strong>historic complex of Port Bo<\/strong> and <strong>les Voltes<\/strong>, a street with a lot of charm, where you will find the enchanting fishermen&#8217;s houses of yesteryear. You can rent them both at Canadell beach and at Port Pelegr\u00ed beach. It&#8217;s a lot of fun for both adults and children, and an alternative that will allow you to reach the less crowded coves.<\/p><h2>Gastronomy<\/h2><p>The <strong>Empord\u00e0 cuisine<\/strong> is known for its unique and tasty culinary offerings, making the most of the unparalleled resources of its immediate environment; the best products of the land and sea. There is no shortage of paella, brothy rice, fish stew&#8230;<\/p><p>However, one of the traditional dishes of Palafrugell; formerly only available during Lent, is known as <strong>&#8220;Es Niu&#8221;<\/strong>. It consists of a mix made from cod tripe, hard-boiled egg, dried fish, and potato. An experience that leaves no one indifferent!<\/p><h2>Where to Eat<\/h2><p>Calella de Palafrugell has a quite wide gastronomic offer. From there, follow the direction <strong>Palam\u00f3s (C-31)<\/strong> and take the <strong>exit 331 Palafrugell Sur<\/strong>.<\/p><p>If you come from the north, take <strong>the A-7 motorway<\/strong> towards <strong>Barcelona<\/strong> and take <strong>exit 6<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/staging.catalunyaturisme.cat\/en\/girona\/\" title=\"Girona, the City that Enchants\">Girona<\/a> North), towards <strong>la Bisbal \/ Palam\u00f3s (C-66)<\/strong>.
